Erlebnisse in Teide
Der Teide ist ein Vulkan, der sich auf der Insel Teneriffa bei den Kanarischen Inseln befindet. Dessen Gipfel thront über dem Land, mit einer Höhe von 3.718 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel und 7.500 Metern über dem Meeresboden. Es ist die dritthöchste und voluminöseste Vulkanstruktur der Welt, hinter dem Mauna Loa und Mauna Kea in Hawaii.
Seine imposante Höhe ist so beeindruckend, dass der Teide während der Zeit der europäischen Expansion als der größte Berg der Welt galt und die spanischen, portugiesischen und britischen Segler ihn als Orientierungspunkt bei ihrer Navigation über den Atlantik nach Süden verwendeten. Der Teide ist das wichtigste Naturdenkmal im Kanarischen Archipel und eine der Hauptattraktionen für Touristen, die jedes Jahr von Millionen Menschen besucht wird. Der Vulkan ist ein Bestandteil des Teide-Nationalparks, der im Jahr 2007 von der UNESCO zum Weltkulturerbe ernannt wurde.
Eine verdiente Anerkennung, weil man hier die größte Variation an Pflanzen findet, die im Mittelmeerraum existiert und zudem eine der spektakulärsten Darstellungsformen des Vulkanismus in der ganzen Welt vorfindet. Wenn Sie den Park besuchen, sollten Sie nicht versäumen, die Seilbahn zu benutzen. Die erste Station liegt in einer Höhe von 2.356 Metern und die letzte Station liegt in einer Höhe von 3.555 Metern. Nach dem Erreichen der Spitze bekommt man ein außergewöhnliches Panorama zu sehen!
