Islandia es uno de los pocos lugares en el mundo donde puedes ingresar a la cámara de magma de un volcán, y esta aventura te lleva al interior del volcán inactivo Thrihnukagigur. Ingrese a través del cráter superior a través de un elevador de cable abierto y descienda al fondo de su cámara de magma que una vez estuvo llena de lava fundida al rojo vivo. Ubicado en un antiguo campo de lava cerca de Reykjavik, el volcán Thrihnukagigur es uno de los pocos lugares en el mundo donde puedes explorar la gigantesca cámara de magma desde el interior.

Después de una erupción volcánica, las cámaras de magma generalmente colapsan, pero en Thrihnukagigur, la lava se escurrió como el agua de una tubería, dejando vacío el sistema de tuberías del volcán.
