Cosa aspettarsi

Paesaggi drammatici e coste vulcaniche e frastagliate sono un'abitudine a Tenerife. Ma non si parla molto della ricca agricoltura che l'isola offre. In questo tour, attraverserete il sud e conoscerete la cultura e l'identità dell'isola. Vedrete come si coltiva l'aloe vera e ne conoscerete i molteplici usi in una piantagione, esplorerete l'alto villaggio di Vilaflor de Chasna e degusterete i vini locali. Ivan, una delle nostre esperte guide locali, dice: "Vilaflor una volta si chiamava Chasna. Ma quando un capitano di nave di nome Pedro de Bracamonte la visitò, notò una bella ragazza guanche e gridò Vi la flor de Chasna, che significa Ho visto il fiore di Chasna - da qui il nome del villaggio".

Il clima secco e il sole tutto l'anno delle Canarie fanno sì che l'aloe vera prosperi qui, anche se non è una specie autoctona: è originaria della penisola arabica. Farete una visita guidata alla piantagione e i proprietari condivideranno le loro conoscenze sui poteri curativi di questa nota pianta, utilizzata per scopi medicinali nelle culture di tutta la storia.

Successivamente, visiterete Vilaflor. Arroccato sul versante meridionale del vulcano dell'isola, il Monte Teide, la vista sulla costa da 1.400 metri di altezza è di livello superiore. Il villaggio ha un'atmosfera quasi alpina, totalmente diversa dalla costa tropicale: ha la più grande pineta delle Canarie alle sue porte. Dopo una visita al villaggio, visiterete una premiata cantina a conduzione familiare e vi siederete per una degustazione.

We enjoyed the trip very much, a fairly short coach journey and an adequate time spent at the itinerary. The Aloe Vera plantation was presented really well by Adriana , she explained everything simply. We then went to Vilaflora and Connie informed and took us to the highlights. Finally the winery, Reveron, excellent explanation of the process and very Informative wine tasting by Timmy. Driver and guide were great. We would definitely recommend this tour.

The Aloe Vera farm was great, really interesting. We stopped for coffee and were told about the local speciality. The winery visit was good although we only tasted 3 wines and the samples were small. It was a shame we didn’t get to see the outside area with the vines. The guide and driver were great, very friendly, helpful and informative.

Laut Beschreibung hatten wir eine Weinverkostung in deutscher Sprache gebucht. Dies war englisch. Die Reiseleiterin hat auf Nachfrage einiges nur für uns übersetzt. Sie war sehr gut. Der Besuch auf dem Weinberg war der letzte Punkt der Tour. Vorher Besuch einer Aloeverafarm mit Shopping und dann im höchsten Dorf mit Stop in einem Cafe (Kioskbetrieb mit SB) Vom eigentlichen Dorf haben wir nicht viel gesehen. Die meiste Zeit hat das Holen und Bringen der Gaeste in Anspruch genommen

Der Guide Carsten ist Klasse und das eigentliche Highlight der Tour. Die Aloe Vera Farm fanden wir eher überflüssig, da Verkaufsveranstaltung. Das Weingut war interessant und diese Versnstaltung hat uns auch gut gefallen. Alles getippt hat aber Carsten mit seiner unerschöpflichen Begeisterung und Flut an Informationen über die Insel an sich.

VIP La Gomera by minivan tour from north of Tenerife

La Gomera is the Canary Island where time stood still. Be whisked away in VIP class on the ferry from Tenerife and explore its peaks and valleys in the best way possible – by luxury minivan. The pine forests and coastal cliffs of northern Tenerife give it a natural and rugged look, but it's the volcanic, fertile soil that provides the area with its star attractions. From vineyards and orchards to banana farms and ancient trees, you'll see and taste Tenerife's home-grown highlights on this half-day tour.First up is Icod de los Vinos, a 16th-century town with a great view of Mount Teide. But even Spain's highest peak can't steal the attention away from the Drago Milenario, a thousand-year-old dragon tree that takes pride of place in the town's botanical gardens. This incredible specimen stands at over 20 metres tall with a canopy that's spread to over 300 main branches. Your guide will explain more about why this native tree is a cultural symbol of the Canaries during your visit. While in Icod de los Vinos, you'll see lines of the town's other treasure growing up and down the hillsides – bananas. Find out all about the island's history of banana farming and taste the freshly harvested fruit, as well as a sweet banana liqueur. Next, you'll head east to La Orotava, one of the oldest wine regions in the Canaries and right on the edge of Teide National Park. Guided tour of the San Blas Environmental Reserve in Tenerife with transfers

You'll head into the San Blas Environmental Reserve, a 500,000-square-metre area that showcases the island's volcanic past in all its glory. San Blas is a perfect example of heritage conservation that reminds us of the importance of preserving and protecting our legacy for future generations."You'll be picked up from your accommodation and taken to the park, where you'll kick things off with a quick museum visit. Here, you'll learn how the island was formed millions of years ago, as well as get a glimpse into some of the native flora and fauna found around here.
