Through this route you will learn in depth about the history of Vigo and its connection with the world of fishing and the sea.
You will begin the visit at the facilities of the Fishing Port, and you will take a tour in which you will identify the majority of the actors who, directly or indirectly, are related to the fishing sector: ship-owning companies, marketing companies, distributors, refrigerators, shipyards, auxiliary companies, etc.
You will continue the visit along the Ribera del Berbés, and you will enter the “Casco Vello” of the city, the historic centre, visiting squares and streets that still preserve their guild charm: the Plaza de la Princesa, the Constitución, the Calle Pescadería (famous for its oysters), the “Cesteiros” street, among others, to learn about the origin of what is today the European capital of fishing.
