What to expect

Your day starts by driving from Reykjavik to the historic Thingvellir National Park, where both the American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. You'll get to experience a truly unique feeling of having one foot in two different places. Afterwards, travel onwards to the world-famous Geyser hot spring. Strokkur, another hot spring, is located nearby and is still very active today, erupting to heights up to 30 meters every few minutes. In the Geyser area, you will also have time to buy lunch or some snacks.

Next on the agenda is the Gullfoss Waterfall, also known as the Golden Waterfall. One of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland, Gullfoss will amaze you with its power and beauty, plummeting down 32 meters into a rugged canyon. These three attractions complete the classic Golden Circle, but that's not all you'll experience!

You'll also get to stop at the Kerid Volcanic Crater, a 3000-year-old crater that is 55 meters deep and offers a truly unique view of the Icelandic landscape. Afterwards, you'll finally visit iconic Blue Lagoon, where you can spend the rest of your day relaxing and unwinding in the natural hot waters.     All of it was good, maybe slightly more time at each place but that’s only being picky. Our guide Monica (reddish hair, red puffer jacket and puffin in the minibus) was the best guide we’ve ever had, she really cared about us, was so funny and went out of her way to stop at places she thought we’d like- to stroke horses, photo opportunities etc! Our comfort was also a priority- air con in bus and careful on the bumpy roads ! She made it amazing! Everyone on the bus gave her a tip!!

    Excellent tour featuring a lot of Icelands top points of interest. A lot of walking where good footwear is a must. Finishing at the Blue Lagoon gave the opportunity to relax after a busy day.
